's current challenge "Manip-the-lyrics". I'm submitting to level 2.
Lyrics I chose were:
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly,
Into the light of the dark black night
-Blackbird, Paul McCartney
I listened to this song fifty times and read up on what it was about before coming up with an idea. It was a toss-up between two stock photos for the girl for a while, but in the middle of maniping I changed the concept completely and I'm glad I used this one... So much better.
EDIT: Taking some advice, I added some light to this to emphasize the girl and demphasize the bird. Thoughts?

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI applaud you for doing research to create this deviation! I said, "wow", when I first saw the model...then I was extremely happy when I read that you actually read up on the reason behind the words. Good for you!
I like your design. It's simple, but powerful. I especially like how you have the model and the blackbird so close together that they almost become one shape.
I do have a suggestion. I would make her a little lighter tone. Mostly to imply that the light of the moon is hitting her, but also to bring her out more. She's blending in too much and she's too important to take second to the bird.
Otherwise, good job!
